2 O LORD, our Lord, how awesome is your name through all the earth! You have set your majesty above the heavens! 3 Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have drawn a defense against your foes, to silence enemy and avenger. 4 When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars that you set in place— 5 What are humans that you are mindful of them, mere mortals that you care for them? 6 Yet you have made them little less than a god, crowned them with glory and honor. 7 You have given them rule over the works of your hands, put all things at their feet: 8 All sheep and oxen, even the beasts of the field, 9 The birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and whatever swims the paths of the seas. 10 O LORD, our Lord, how awesome is your name through all the earth! Psalm 8:2-10
Amidst the storms and trials in our lives, we are constantly being reminded by Jesus Christ “Be Still and Know I am God…” Have faith that He will always be there for us most especially when we need Him most.
“And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up. 38 And He Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 39 And being aroused, He rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. 40 And He said to them, “Why are you so timid? How is it that you have no faith?” 41 And they became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?” (Mark 4:37-41)

That’s Refreshment!He restoreth my soul
That’s Healing! He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness.
That’s Guidance!For His name sake
That’s Purpose!Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
That’s Testing!I will fear no evil.
That’s Protection! For Thou art with me
That’s Faithfulness!Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me,
That’s Discipline!Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
That’s Hope!Thou anointest my head with oil,
That’s Royalty!My cup runneth over.

Faith 2.0 is committed to spreading and communicating the Word and the Love of God in a modern, digital, innovative, creative, meaningful and relevant way. This is a great venue for all Christians, most especially educators, pastors, church leaders, parents and elders, to share their knowledge, creativity, strategies and resources to help people, most especially the youth, know, love and serve God more. Faith 2.0 is a faith revolution and theology innovation. Faith 2.0 is inspired by Web 2.0, a revolution and innovation in the Net, the latest trend in the World Wide Web. Faith 2.0 is a creative and gradual movement from Faith 1.0, the traditional faith, that we used to know and grew up with. We have to accept the fact that some traditional and old methods in evangelization and spreading the Word are no longer effective and relevant in the present generation, the digital generation. This challenges all Christians to devise new ways how the Word and Love of God will have more impact and relevance in this generation. Gone are the days that we need to “know,” “memorize,” and “assent” to the faith truths that we cannot understand and make sense of in our daily lives. Faith is not merely something we have to know. It is something we need to feel and experience. “Dei Verbum,” which is the Church’s Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation, starts with 1 John 1:1-4 1”That which was from the beginning, which we have HEARD, which we have SEEN with our eyes, which we have LOOKED AT and our hands have TOUCHED—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2The life appeared; we have SEEN it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3We proclaim to you what we have SEEN and HEARD, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4We write this to make our joy complete.” We are challenged by the Church to make sense of our faith in this digital generation amidst the trials, sufferings and challenges in life. We must look for ways how the Word of God will have new meaning, relevance, significance and sense in the the people’s lives. Isn’t this what God did? He sent His Son Jesus Christ, His Word, so that His Word would be translated, communicated and experienced in the language which the people could understand then. God considered their needs, context and situation so that people could make sense of their faith. That’s the reason that Jesus used parables, spoke their language, satisfied their needs, healed the sick, liberated the oppressed, suffered with the poor, died and rose again. For Jesus to have relevance in our world today, we must utilize ways and strategies that will fit in our context and situation, speak the language and satisfy the needs of this world, the digital world. May God’s Word and Love be communicated through creative, innovative and meaningful ways. May God’s hand touch the hearts and transform the lives of this digital generation. May the Word be known, understood, spoken, incarnated and experienced through the language of this digital generation. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us” (John 1:1-3, 14) Let us work together for God’s Word and Love be felt and experienced in this digital world. Rest assured of our prayers! May God bless you!
